Welcome to Our New Site!

Dear Friends,

We founded Church Life Journal in 2012 as a response to the U.S. Bishops' call for an intellectual evangelization. The work of intellectual engagement means a thorough engagement with the sources of intellectual life in our world today from the heart of the Catholic imagination. The journal takes the best resources of academic discourse, putting them at the service of forming both academic and pastoral leaders.

We began the process of redesigning our website to better serve the mission of bridging the Church and the academy last year. Our new website allows the reader to navigate over six years of articles composed by academics and Church leaders from around the globe. Through the generosity of our benefactors, we continue to offer this content gratis for anyone seeking to participate in our project of mutually engaging the academy and the Church.

Over the years, we created a publication that is dynamically orthodox, willing to engage issues in Church, culture, and society from the heart of the Gospel. We are grateful for our readers who contribute so much to our common work. It brightens our spirits to hear that our journal’s articles are used in high schools, colleges, universities, parishes, dioceses, and seminaries around the world. The diversity of these settings is evidence that we are meeting our mission of bridging the academy and the Church. Please never hesitate to send us feedback about how we may better carry out this endeavor.

If you are already a subscriber to our journal, you will receive your weekly newsletter just as before, only from a different e-mail service. Please be sure to check your spam and promotions folders starting today when we send out our weekly subscriber email. If the email appears in your spam or promotions folders, move the email into your inbox to mark it as safe. If you hesitated about subscribing, now is the time to sign-up to receive weekly content from the McGrath Institute’s flagship publication.
