Grant Kaplan

Grant Kaplan holds the Steber Chair in the Department of Theological Studies at Saint Louis University. His research focuses on nineteenth-century German Catholic theology, especially the Tübingen theologians Johannes Kuhn and Johann Adam Möhler. Kaplan also pursues questions related to the relationship of René Girard’s mimetic theory to Christian theology. His most recent book is René Girard, Unlikely Apologist (University of Notre Dame Press).
