Karl Rahner, SJ (1904–1984) was a Jesuit priest, theologian, and author of more than 4,000 published works. He taught as a university professor across his career and served as peritus at the Second Vatican Council. His contributions there and beyond have had a lasting impact on contemporary Catholic theology.
